Murchison Fall National Park is the largest national park in Uganda situated in north western in Masindi district. Murchison fall national park is famously known for the strongest waterfall and a trip to the park will enable you view its top and bottom.
This 3 Day Road Trip to Murchison Falls National Park is about wildlife viewing and nature appreciation, it is available on both guided and self-drive safari car rental such as Toyota Prado TX. The road distance is 344 km one-way and 688 round trip.
Day 1: Travel to Murchison falls national park pass via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Day 2: Early morning game drive, hiking to the top and boat cruise along the Nile.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.
Early morning after breakfast in the hotel, the journey from Kampala to Murchison fall national park will start off. Along the way pass via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where lunch will be served.
The sanctuary is located in Nakasongola district. a visit to Ziwa sanctuary will give you an opportunity to spot rhinos, monkeys, butterflies, squirrels, birds among others.
After proceed to Murchison fall national park check in into the accommodation and then have dinner.

After breakfast you will have an early game drive. The game drive is best done in the northern areas. The park has different game drive tracks that are followed during a game drive.
These include; Albert, Buligi track and Victoria. During the game drive, you will have an opportunity to sight different animals like Antelopes, lions, zebras, hippos, buffalos, birds among.
After the game drive you will proceed to hike the top of the waterfall which will give an astonishing view of the Nile and the terrain of the park.
However, those who can’t hike can reach the top with a car, return to the accommodation for lunch and have an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile where you be able to sight different animals like elephants, buffalos, crocodiles. You will head back to the accommodation to rest and also have dinner.
On the 3rd day after breakfast, you will embark on a nature walk around your lodge before driving back to Kampala. The end!
